At AMPA 2011, I will be seeking re-election to the position of Treasurer. In my first term as Treasurer I have provided leadership in both the responsible financial management of our union and the political decision making of the Provincial Executive.

At AMPA 2009, delegates from across the province recognized my extensive financial and political leadership experience and elected me to the position of OSSTF/FEESO Treasurer. Since that time I have worked hard, fulfilling my campaign commitment to responsible financial leadership. Should I be re-elected to the position of Treasurer, I intend to continue to ensure that OSSTF/FEESO maintains its status as a union that handles members' money in a responsible manner while meeting member priorities.

The Treasurer of the strongest education union in Ontario, if not Canada, must be much more than a figure head who moves money around on account lines. The Treasurer of our organization must have a wide range of skills and experience.

I bring all of this and more to my candidacy for Treasurer. My experience as the current Treasurer coupled with my long-term experience as a local leader, strong leadership skills and political action involvement all make me a candidate worthy of re-election. I ask for your support at AMPA 2011.
